I don't know about you, but whenever I think about eating chocolate, which I have to admit is all too often, my mouth waters in anticipation. There is just something about popping that piece of chocolate (dark chocolate for me) in my mouth that just makes me happy!
My husband and I are in the habit of having a piece of dark chocolate when we do our reading at night, and we really look forward to it. It has quickly become part of the schedule in our home. That is pretty bad isn't it? or is it?
If I am gaining a little too much weight, I would rather dawn the exercise clothes and do some bending and stretching, and or walking, heck even running if I have to, than to give up my daily piece of chocolate, which would just be sick and wrong!
You have heard the expression, "hand over your chocolate, and nobody gets hurt." I can relate to that, only because of the desperation factor, not that I would go to that extent, heavens no! But, I may have to get an extra job just to afford the habit. It is almost five dollars for a small bag! Pure highway robbery, I tell you!
This little self indulgence is fast becoming a financial burden! But, if you think I am going to give it up, then you are sorely mistaken. Yes, you guessed it, chocolate is my friend. I am a committed and loyal chocolate consumer, in up to my first roll! So, I suppose you have guessed that chocolate in all its forms makes me happy, absolutely! My only regret is that I was not the inventor. Sigh!

It triggers release of our own endorphins (our body's morphine sort of) and it is loaded with antioxidants AND the dark stuff doesn't play havoc with our blood sugar - what more can I say! Thanks Kim - we all need to read this one! MarijoMarijo,You gave me even more reason to indulge, I knew there was more to why this stuff is so good! Thank you!!!

I am curious that true chocolate lovers always seem to prefer 'dark.' Perhaps additives such as milk lessen its addictive quality.
Richard,Being a true chocolate lover, I savor the flavor of the chocolate. I am not able to eat milk chocolate any more because it is too sweet! So, I think in the dark chocolate you get a definite chocolate taste.
